Everybody needs to do a video. Video and live streaming are the future of the internet. And it’s easier than you think.
Most people I’ve seen on YouTube are just ordinary looking.
Despite what you might think, you don’t need to be good-looking to be on YouTube (unless you’re running a modelling blog).
But it’s your personality that should shine through the brightest. A personality can be “crafted” easier than looks can change.
Some people shy away because they don’t want to look stupid. You won’t look stupid, do it?

Stop making excuses.
YouTube is for everybody. It’s the new TV. You have to be on it.
The best thing of all is, if you really stink at it, no one will see it anyway.
Good content generally rises to the top of this channel and gets noticed. So don’t worry, if it’s really bad, no one will see it anyway.
YouTube is not going to make you charismatic and interesting, but it will expose you if you are. It can’t do that but, if you don’t put yourself out there. Give yourself a year to try different approaches. See what kind of response you get. Listen to your audience.

If you did a post a day for a year, you WILL notice a massive difference by year’s end. Between your first video and the latest one a year later. You WILL have improved your skills.
Ultimately it all boils down to this, Don’t let perfection be your enemy. Do not be another dreamer who puts up 10 episodes gets trolled or ignored discouraged, gives up and takes the channel down.

YouTube for Documenting and Learning
Using YouTube for documenting the learning process.
This is so neglected because everyone is an expert. But anyone can do it. Here’s why.
Documenting the entire learning process is gold. You are allowed to be terrible in the beginning. So it won’t be that hard.
Document all the mistakes, and have fun with yourself, as you learn and document the journey.
This is exactly the type of content people are searching for on YouTube.
The type of content that is “valuable” to other people.

YouTube Listing Hacks
There should always be a relation between the title, file name, description, keywords and tags.
Supply as much information as Youtube asks for. More the better.
Even transcripts you should upload – if possible.
Tips for filling in the upload form
Title
The title should be descriptive and keyword rich.
If possible a shorter and more keyword-rich version for the title is better.
Filenames
Make sure the filename is the same or very close to the title of the video.
Description
Make the description a mini-article. That is, write a lot of words.
Complete with a call to action and a link to your website where they will perform that action. Suggestions would be, Subscribe to an email list, Link to your products or services, or Learn More Here.
Keywords
Use related keywords, and use your brand keyword in every video.
Thumbnail
Create an attractive and attention-grabbing thumbnail.
Tags
Use related tags 10-14 for each of the videos.
Video structure
Don’t repeat – say want you going to say and then end the video
Best to have a numbered list of tips or points you want to make.
EG: 3 tips for such and such
People will be waiting for the tips then they will just leave. So you say the first 2 tips then have some text come across the screen and start saying,
“Just before I tell you the next point, don’t forget to like this video, or don’t forget to subscribe. Here is the link.”
Then give the last tip. Kind of like a TV station does just before the ads.
